Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A study on water solubility does not need to be conducted as the substance was shown to be hydrolytically unstable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The study does not need to be conducted as the substance ANCAMINE 2458 was shown to rapidly hydrolyse upon contact with water. This became evident during the course of the method validation for the determination of the substance (study number 105-100-6115, performed at TOXI-COOP Zrt.).

The formulation samples (in OECD Medium) were extracted with hexane and analysis of ANCAMINE 2458 was carried out with a GC-MS method. Due to the rapid hydrolysis of the test item a characteristic degradation product (4-Methyl-2-pentanone) had also to be determined in the system. Both the concentrations of ANCAMINE 2458 and its degradation product could thus be measured.
