First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient from exposure. Obtain medical attention if
ill effects result.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water, holding the
eyelids apart, for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with water. Obtain
medical attention.

Contaminated clothing should be laundered before re-use.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out the mouth with water and give 200 - 300 ml (half a
pint) of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Obtain
medical attention if ill effects result.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder.

For large fires use water fog; avoid use of water jet.

Water spray should be used to cool containers

Product arising from burning: Noxious and toxic fumes.

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective
clothing must be worn in fire conditions.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ensure suitable personal protection during removal of
spillages. Adsorb spillages onto sand, earth or any
suitable absorbent material. Transfer to a container for
disposal. Wash the spillage area clean. Washings must be
prevented from entering surface water drains.

Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or water courses.

Spillages or uncontrolled discharges into watercourses must
be alerted to the appropriate regulatory body.

Handling and storage

Handling: Use only in well ventilated areas. Avoid contact with skin
and eyes. Avoid inhalation of high concentrations of
vapours.

Wear eye/face protection, suitable gloves and suitable
protective clothing. Wear suitable respiratory protective
equipment if exposure to high levels of material are likely.

Storage: Keep container tightly closed.
