Titration of acidity and alkalinity

Details on titrant used:
A 1.00 wt% solution of the test substance was prepared by adding 0.5111 g of test substance to 50.3624 g of water and stirring in a beaker.
After the stirring was stopped, the pH electrode was immersed in the solution, and the pH and temperature of the solution were recorded. After stirring for an additional two to three minutes, an additional reading was recorded. A replicate pH determination was performed by preparing a 0.98 wt% solution of the test substance: 0.4930 g of test substance was mixed with 49.9681 g of water and the pH of the second solution was determined in the same manner as for the first sample aliquot. The first and second measurements were close enough that a third measurement was not taken. The pH of the test substance was reported as an average of the replicate samples.
