Preliminary Test

- The estimated auto-ignition temperature was 415 °C.

 

Main Study

- Ignition of the test material was observed with each sample volume within 5 minutes after introductionand with each test a minimum auto-ignition temperature was obtained. The maximum deviation between the three values was < 20 °C. According to the guidelines, no further testing was required.

- The lowest temperature at which ignition of the test material occurred was 402 °C. This temperature was rounded down to the nearest multiple of 5 °C giving an auto-ignition temperature of the test material of 400 °C.

Conclusions:
Under the conditions of this study, the test material is auto-ignitable with an auto-ignition temperature of 400 °C.
Executive summary:

The auto-ignition temperature of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guidelines EU Method A.15 and DIN 51794, under GLP conditions.

Commercially available auto-ignition temperature apparatus was used for the determination of the degree of auto-ignitability of the test material. The atmospheric pressure during the three tests performed for the main study was between 1001 and 1020 hPa.

Under the conditions of this study, the test material is auto-ignitable with an auto-ignition temperature of 400 °C.
