Description of key information

Basic Blue 159 as trichlorozincate decomposes between 195 and 240°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The Melting Point analysis was performed according to internationally accepted testing procedures, using the Differential Scanning Calorimetry method for the analysis. Basic Blue 159 releases solvent between 56 and 107 °C as shown by first endothermic peak, followed by decomposition of the product between 195 and 240 °C (onset at 219.2 °C, degradation enthalpy = 201.6 J/g).
