- Details on results:
- The saturation concentration of RED RWa 4565 at room temperature was estimated by a simplified flask method. After mixing a total of about 5 g of test item in 10 ml of water, a dark red solution was obtained. Since the test item was completely dissolved in water, the water solubiliÇ of RED RWa 4565 might therefore be higher as determined in the present study. The determination of the concentration in the above mentioned solution was confirmed by HPLC with respect to a calibration curve.
ln conclusion, the water solubility of the sum of the four main components of RED RWa 4565 at room temperature was determined to be 362.6 g/l.
The water solubility was not corrected for the purity of the test item. - Conclusions:
- The water solubility of the sum of the four main components of RED RWa 4565 at room temperature was determined to be 362.6 g/l.
- Executive summary:
The determination of the water solubility of RED RWa 4565 was performed according to the EEC Directive 92/69, 4.6 "Water Solubility'' (1992) and the OECD guideline No. 105, "Water Solubility'' (1995) using the flask shake method.
