Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

96-hour LC50 (OECD203) to Danio rerio, >12 µg/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In the key study, the toxicity of HFP kinetic dimer to zebra-fish, Danio rerio, was assessed in a 96-hour toxicity test conducted according to OECD 203, in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards, and with analytical monitoring of test substance concentrations. Flasks at the highest loading rate intentionally contained undissolved test material which was allowed to settle before addition of fish. Test substance concentration was stable at the highest loading rate during the test, but decreased at all other concentrations. One mortality (of eight fish) was observed at the highest loading rate, and half of fish had sublethal, visual effects at this loading rate. The LC50 based on geometric mean concentration was >12 µg/L, or >5 mg/L based on nominal concentration. This study is reliable without restrictions. Two additional studies cannot be considered reliable.
