Description of key information
In accordance with section 2 of REACH (REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006) Annex XI, the study does not need to be conducted as pure gluconic acid is a solid. The substance is only placed on the market in the form of an aqueous solution and the viscosity will depend upon the concentration of the solution. Thus it is technically not feasible to determine a viscosity for gluconic acid.

The viscosity of a 50% solution in water is reported in a Safety Data Sheet as 30 mPa.s.
