Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
Category 3 (mild irritant) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
Mild irritation occurred after 24 hours.
Hence, Geranyl isobutyrate (2345-26-8) was considered to be mildly irritating to rabbit skin.
Executive summary:

A skin irritation study was performed in rabbits to assess the irritation potential of Geranyl isobutyrate.

Geranyl isobutyrate was applied full strength under occlusion to intact and abraded rabbit skin. The rabbits were exposed for 24 hours and signs of irritation were observed. Mild irritation occurred after 24 hours.

Hence,Geranyl isobutyrate (2345-26-8) was considered to bemildly irritating to rabbit skin.
