Additional information

Based on REACH Regulation (EC n. 1907/2006), annex VII, column 2, the study regarding biodegradation in water does not need to be conducted if the substance is inorganic. According to Annex IX of REACH Regulation (EC n. 1907/2006) , further biotic degradation testing (biodegradation in soil and in sediment) is required only if the chemical safety assessment according to Annex I of REACH Regulation (EC n. 1907/2006) indicates the need to investigate further the degradation of the substance and its degradation products. Calcium Hypophosphite is inorganic and the assessment of biodegradability is scientifically unjustified.
