The substance Amides, C18, branched and linear is not expected to be present in the atmosphere or accumulate in natural waters. This assumption is based on the low vapour pressure and the low water solubility. However, if released to air a rapid photodegradation by reaction with hydroxyl radicals is expected, whereas abiotic degradation by hydrolysis is negligible. Since the substance is not readily biodegradable it has to be considered potentially persistence. The potential to persist differs between the substance components. Overall, a low persistence of the substance in the environment is expected.
