Description of key information

Short term toxicity to fish

The acute toxicity of the test item to danio rerio was determined according to OECD guideline 203. The LC50 value after 96 h was determined to be 3.65 mg/L.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The acute immobilisation of the test item to daphnia magna was determined according to OECD guideline 202. The EC50 value after 48 h was determined to be 9.1 mg/L.

Toxicity to aquatic algae

The toxicity of the test item to the unicellular freshwater green alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was determined according to the principles of OECD 201. The EC50-values for inhibition of growth rate (ErC50) after 72 hours was 2.43 mg/L. The EC10 values for inhibition of growth rate (ErC10) after 72 hours was 1.11 mg/L.

Additional information

Short term toxicity to fish

The acute toxicity of the test item to Danio rerio was determined according to OECD Guideline 203. The study was cunducted under semi-static conditions with daily water renewal over a duration of 96 hours. The following values based on geometric mean measured test item concentrations (test item + metabolite) were found: The LC50 after 96 h was determined to be 3.65 mg/L.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The acute immobilisation of the test item to Daphnia magna (STRAUS) was determined according to OECD Guideline 202 / EEC Directive 92/69/EEC Method C.2 .The study was conducted under static conditions over a duration of 48 hours. The real test concentrations were calculated based an DOC-analysis: 1.2 - 2.2 - 5.8 - 11.5 - 17.9 mg/L. The EC50 value of the test item was determined to be 9.1 mg/L (nominal value) after 48 h.

Toxicity to aquatic algae

The toxicity of the test item to the unicellular freshwater green alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was determined according to the principles of OECD 201. The test item was found to inhibit the growth of the freshwater green alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata after 72 hours with the following effect values (based on geometric mean measured test item concentrations + metabolite): The EC50-values for inhibition of growth rate (ErC50) and yield (EyC50) after 72 hours were 2.43 mg/L and 1.27 mg/L, respectively. The EC10 values for inhibition of growth rate (ErC10) and yield after 72 hours were 1.11 mg/L and 0.72 mg/L, respectively.
