- Justification:
Because hexahydrophthalic anhydride (HHPA) hydrolyses almost instantaneously on contact with water, to give hexahydrophthalic acid (HHPAc, CAS 1687-30-5), the PBT assessment was made on that substance.
As result, hexahydrophthalic acid does not meet the criteria to be regarded as either PBT or vPvB.
