Description of key information
In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the test on the boiling point (required in section 7.3) was waived, as the test substance decomposes before boiling. During the determination of the melting point / melting range of Urea 6 (see section 4.2), no boiling of the test substance was observed. The results obtained indicate without doubt that the test substance starts to decompose or react at temperatures > 225 °C.
In conclusion, no boiling point of the test substance was observed up to a degradation or reaction temperature of about 225 °C. Therefore, no separate experimental determination of the boiling point/boiling range had to be performed according to the guidelines in force.
