Test substance stable:
not determined

The test material dissolved in all of the solvents.

Conclusions:
Under the conditions of the test, the solubility of the test material in hexane, toluene, dichloromethane, methanol and acetone was >200 g/L.
Executive summary:

In a solvent solubility study conducted in accordance with standardised guideline OECD 105, the solubility of the test material in a number of solvents was determined. Under the conditions of the test, the substance was determined to be soluble in all the solvents tested.

Description of key information

Solubility in organic solvents >200 g/L; study conducted in accordance with OECD Guideline 105; Akhtar, 1988

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The solubility of the test material in five organic solvents (hexane, toluene, dichloromethane, methanol and acetone) at 20 ºC was determined to be >200 g/L. In a separate study, the test material was found to be completely miscible in ethyl acetate.

The study performed on the five organic solvents was selected as the key study in the basis that it covers more substances and provided a quantified figure of the solubility of the test material. The study was conducted to a standardised guideline and was assigned a reliability score of 2. The supporting study was performed in line with GLP, and to a standardised guideline, and was assigned a reliability score of 1.
