Results and discussion

Results:
The UV/Vis spectra of acetonitrile (CH3CN) solutions of the Test Substance, 4-chlorophthalic anhydride (4CLPA), were recorded with CH3CN in the reference cell position.

The average molar extinction coefficients of 4CLPA were 34,967 +/- 104 AU*cm^-1*M^-1 at 225 nm and 7,313 +/- 55 AU*cm^-1*M^-1 at 261 nm.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The average molar extinction coefficients of 4CLPA were determined to be 34,967 ± 104 AU*cm^-1*M^-1 at 225 nm and 7,313 ± 55 AU*cm^-1*M^-1 at 261 nm.
Executive summary:

UV/Vis Absorption Spectrum was determined in a study according to OECD 101 and in compliance with GLP criteria. The UV/Vis spectra of acetonitrile (CH3CN) solutions of the Test Substance, 4-chlorophthalic anhydride (4CLPA), were recorded with CH3CN in the reference cell position. The average molar extinction coefficients of 4CLPA were 34,967 ± 104 AU*cm^-1*M^-1 at 225 nm and 7,313 ± 55 AU*cm^-1*M^-1 at 261 nm.
