Description of key information

Based on its physical chemical properties crystalline calcium silicate hydrate (xonotlite - tobermorite) does

not need to be classified as hazardous for physical-chemical hazards according to the criteria of GHS/CLP regulation 1272/2008/EC.

The substance is an odourless white powder.

The density of the substance is 2.4145 g/ml at 20 °C.

The granulometry of Promaxon T was determined with a Mastersizer 2000. The mass median diameter was found to be 35.700 µm. No particles were found under 0.417 µm and above 316.228 µm under the conditions of this test.

The granulometry of Promaxon was determined with a Mastersizer 2000. The mass median diameter was found to be 61.253 µm. No particles were found under 1.445 µm and above 181.970 µm under the conditions of this test.

Crystalline calcium silicate hydrate (xonotlite - tobermorite) decomposes when dissolved in water. The water solubility of the substance was found to be 37 mg/l at 20 °C based on Si analysis.
