Results and discussion

Water solubility
Water solubility:
8.27 mg/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
6
Remarks on result:
other: Test material was mixed at 1 g/L water and the water soluble fraction was measured.
Details on results:
Preliminary Results
The Test Item was not fully dissolved after 24 hours. It had a water solubility of less than 1 g/L.

Definitive Test Results

Table 1 summarizes the analytical measurements from the second Definitive Test experiment, Trial 2.

The between day difference for the 1 g/L equivalent batch, between Day 5 and 6 was greater than 15 %. These values are near the Method Detection Limit (MDL estimated at 5 mg/L) of the assay. There is greater variability at this level due to the low level of result value, which emphasizes any small differences, making it difficult to achieve the required limit. The amount of Agrol® Polyol dissolved in water is 8.27 mg/L. at 20 °C.

The between day difference for the 10 g/L equivalent batch, between Day 5 and 6 was 5.4 %, which is less than 15 %, therefore more sampling was unnecessary. The amount of Agrol® Polyol dissolved in water is 34.1 mg/L at 20 °C.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)
8.27 mg/L at 1 g/L Test Item in water

34.1 mg/L at 10 g/L Test Item in water
Executive summary:

The Test Item, Agrol Polyol was tested by Investigative Science Incorporated (ISI) for water solubility according to Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) methods. The tests were requested by BioBased Technologies LLC, Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The Test Item is an Unknown or Variable composition, Complex reaction products and Biological materials (UVCB) substance. This UVCB characteristic should be considered when interpreting the testing results.

Water solubility was 8.27 mg/L at 1 g/L Test Item and 34.1mg/L at 10 g/L Test Item.
