Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A decomposition temperature of > 63°C at 1013 mbar was observed in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Preliminary test: An exothermic effected started above 62°C. The red-brown color of the substance after the sample indicates the decomposition to the test substance.

Main study: During the first run an exothermic effect was observed above 63°C. After this run the colour of the sample was changed from off-white to slightly pink. During the second run the exothermic effect was observed above about 79°C. After this run the sample had a red colour and appeared partly molten. It is likely that the observed exothermic effects and the change of the colour of the test substance are caused by reaction of decomposition of the test substance. That the test substance visually appeared to have been (partly) molten, may be cause of liquid reaction products or by melting of unreacted test substance.
