Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Ingestion: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Wash out the mouth with water.
Inhalation: Remove the exposed individual to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash with soap and large amounts of water.
Eyes contact: Wash immediately with clean and gently flowing water. Continue for at least 15 minutes. Assure adequate flushing of the eyes by separating the eyelids with fingers.
Consult a physician. Show the safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide and dry powder extinguishers are recommended.
By combustion it may emit toxic and irritant fumes of carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen cyanide.
Wear protective equipment dedicated for fire fighting and self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
For non-emergency personnel:
Evacuate from affected area the personnel not involved in emergency intervention.
Alert internal emergency personnel or firefighters. If immediate action is necessary refer to the instructions / directions for emergency personnel.
For emergency responders:
Wear appropriate fire and heat-proof protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus.
Environmental precautions
Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, surface drainage systems and poorly ventilated areas. Handle according to good working practices avoiding environmental release.
Appropriate spill containment techniques: Stop the source of spill or contain the leakage if it is safe to do so using inert material. Prevent the entry of the substance into the sewer system by covering of sewage.
Appropriate spill clean-up procedures:
Clean-up small spills of dry solids with mechanical non-sparking tools. Avoid creating dusty conditions and prevent wind dispersal. Place in appropriate container for waste disposal according to law in force.
Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.
Store in cool place. Never allow product to get in contact with water during storage.
Handling and storage
Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Avoid dust formation and the dispersion into the environment.
Use local exhaust ventilation for operations with potential to generate airborne dust.
Do not expose to heat sources.
Technical measures to avoid the formation and accumulation of electrostatic charges are recommended.
Ground and bound the equipment. Work as much as possible with proper explosion relief (inertization system) to avoid the formation of potentially explosive atmospheres.
Do not eat, drink, and smoke in work areas.
Wash hands after use.
Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.

Body protection: Use chemical resistant safety gloves, wear Tyvek suit with hood type 4-5-6.
