An acute oral toxicity test with DFMMP showed an LD50 value > 2000 mg/kg body weight. No (sub)chronic studies are available. DFMMP did not induce ocular irritation in the Bovine Corneal Opacity and Permeability test (BCOP test). No irritation was observed in the in-vitro skin irritation test with DFMMP using a human skin model. Based on the results of an LLNA test, DFMMP was considered not to be a skin sensitizer. In a bacterial reverse mutation assay, no evidence of mutagenic potential was observed.
