Acute tests evaluating the toxicity of Fatty acids, C18 unsaturated, trimers, 2-ethylhexyl esters (CAS No. 173832-46-7) to aquatic organisms from two (fish and aquatic invertebrates) different trophic levels are available. For fish and aquatic invertebrates no toxic effects were observed up to a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L.
Furthermore, one test evaluating the toxicity of Fatty acids, C18 unsaturated, trimers, 2-ethylhexyl esters to microorganisms is available. The results of this test show no toxic effects of the test substance on the growth of Pseudomonas putida, with an EL50 > 10,000 mg/L (nominal, loading rate).
