Additional information

The test item was tested for its acute toxicity to Daphnia magna in a 24 hours static test according to OECD 202 Guideline.
The EC0 after 24 hours was determined to be 150 mg/l. At the same time the EC100 value was found to be ≥1000 mg/l for 24 hours of exposure. The EC50 was estimated to be (Logit model) 531.7 mg/l for the respective exposure period. The 95% confidence limits for the EC 50 value were 446.7 - 641 mg/l.
In conclusion, the test item showed no toxicity to daphnids . The mortality observed with the control animals was 0% after 24 hours. The tests were validated by testing potassium dichromate along with the test compound. The EC 50 determined for potassium dichromate after 24 hours was 1.233 mg/l.
