First-aid measures

General advice: Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.
Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed. In case of persistent problems : Consult a physician.
Skin contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water.
Eye contact: Wash immediately, abundantly and thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, consult an ophthalmologist.
Ingestion: Consult a physician.


 


Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treatment: Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media


Suitable extinguishing media: Foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder extinguishers., Use suitable means to extinguish neighbouring fires.


Unsuitable extinguishing media: Water jet.

Formation of toxic products through combustion: Possible formation of carbon oxides and hazardous organic compounds


Advice for firefighters:


Specific methods:
Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Cool closed containers exposed to fire with water spray.


Special protective actions for fire-fighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Complete suit protecting against chemicals.


 

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Ensure adequate ventilation. Evacuate area of all unnecessary personnel. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of vapours.


Environmental precautions: No special environmental precautions required. Prevent product from entering drains. Avoid subsoil penetration.


Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:


Methods for cleaning up: Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.


Recovery: Contain spillage, and then collect with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite). Sweep up to prevent slipping hazard.


Elimination: Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:


Technical measures/Precautions: Provide water supplies, ocular fountains and showers near the point of use.


Safe handling advice: Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area.


Hygiene measures: Wash hands after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.


Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.

Respiratory protection: Avoid breathing dust or vapour., No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required.
Hand protection: Heat insulating gloves Protective gloves complying with EN 374. Request information on glove permeation properties from the glove supplier., The suitability for a specific workplace should be discussed with the producers of the protective gloves.

Disposal considerations

Disposal of product:
Do not release into the natural environment or aquatic environment the pure or concentrated product. Incinerate in suitable incineration plant, observing local authority regulations. According to the European Waste Catalogue, Waste Codes are not product specific, but application specific. Waste codes should be assigned by the user based on the application for which the product was used.



Disposal of packaging:
Must be dumped or incinerated in accordance with local regulations.
