Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
flask method
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Batch/Lot number: 381890
Purity: 99.8%
Key result
Water solubility:
35.14 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
8.7 - 9.36
Details on results:
Based on the preliminary saturation test, three parallel oversaturated test item solutions with 180 mg/mL as nominal loading rate were prepared per day and saturated for 1, 2 and 3 days at 30°C. After one day re-equilibration of the flasks at 20°C, the resulted solutions were filtered, and the concentration of dissoluble fraction was measured. No significant differences were obtained between the measured concentration of the flasks within one day and after the comparison of the 3-days results. The measured pH of the flasks also did not show significant difference from each other. The test item was considered to have reached maximum solubility in < 24 hours.
Conclusions:
The water solubility of the test item was found to be 35.14 mg/L with 0.5 RSD% at 20°C ± 0.5°C using the flask method.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item was found to be 35.14 mg/L with 0.5 RSD% at 20°C ± 0.5°C using the flask method.
