Melting/Freezing and Boiling Point

No endotherm relating to a melting temperature was observed, the melting point was therefore < -60°C. An exotherm followed by an endotherm was observed and a dark brown residue remained at the end of the test. This would suggest decomposition followed by boiling. The onset temperatures were 186°C for the exotherm and 320°C for the endotherm in test 1 and 193°C for the exotherm and to 320°C for the endotherm for test 2 This gave mean onset values of 189 and 320°C.

 

The DSC thermograms are shown in Figure 10 and Figure 11 (attached).

Conclusions:
The melting / freezing point of the test substance was found to be <-60 °C at 1013 hPa, under the conditions of the test.
