Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

In the preliminary screening test the substance is formed into an unbroken powder train aboutlong bywide byhigh on a base plate. A hot flame from a gas burner (diameter) is applied to one end of the powder train for 2 minutes.

The test was performed on the sample as received.

When the Bunsen flame was applied, the sample melted and on the pool of liquid that formed appeared a yellow flame 5 cm high, after about 40 seconds. Once the Bunsen flame was removed, the combustion of the pool ended after 5 minutes and 20 seconds. Combustion only affected the molten area, the solid train was unburned.

The sampleindicated asHYDROXYPROPYLAMINEshould not be considered as highly flammable and no further testing is required because the time of propagation in the preliminary test screening is higher than four minute.

Applicant's summary and conclusion
