First-aid measures

4 First aid measures

4.1 Description of first aid measurements:

• General advice:

Remove contaminated clothing even underwear and shoes immediately and wash before next use.

• After inhalation:

Ensure supply of fresh air. Store person in a position comfortable for breath. Summon a doctor immediately if feel unwell.

• After skin contact:

Wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. In case of persistent skin irritation get medical

advice.

• After eye contact:

Rinse opened eye several minutes with fluent water. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to

do.

Continue rinsing. In case of persistent complaints get medical advice.

• After swallowing:

Cause no vomit, rinse the mouth and drink plenty of water; get medical attention immediately.

4.2 Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed

Symptoms: The most known symptoms are described in the labelling and in chapter 11.

4.3 Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed

Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

5 Fire- fighting measures

5.1 Extinguishing agents: Water spray jet, alcohol resistant foam, ABC- powder or carbon dioxide.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Water full jet.

5.2 Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Hazardous steam, smoke or mist.

A fire may form Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx).

5.3 Advice for fire-fighters: Use self containing breathing apparatus, protective clothing and rubber

boots.

Do not breathe explosion or combustion gases. Cool down container with water spray jet.

Additional information: Contaminated fire water has to be disposed according to regional regulations.

Accidental release measures

6 Accidental release measures

6.1 Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Use personal protection equipment. Provide for sufficient ventilation.

6.2 Environment precautions:

Do not allow to enter drains or waterways.

Inform respective authorities when entering in waters or the sewerage.

6.3 Methods and material for containment and cleaning- up:

Pick up mechanically with liquid binding materials (sand, kieselgur, wood shavings, universal binding

agent).

Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with the regional regulations.

6.4 Reference to other sections:

For further information on exposure monitoring and disposal see section 8 and 13.

Handling and storage

7 Handling and storage

7.1 Precautions for safe handling

Protective measures:

• Advice on safe handling: When used appropriately there are no further measures necessary.

• Fire preventions: When used appropriately there are no further measures necessary.

• Hygiene measures: Do not eat, drink and smoke when working. Wash hands before break and after

work.

• General safety measures: Don´t inhale aerosole, gas or dust. Avoid contact with skin.

• Environmental precautions: Avoid release to the environment.

7.2 Condition for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

• Technical matters and storage conditions:

Store only in well closed original container, in a cool, well- ventilated place.

• Packaging materials: PE

• Further information on storage rooms and vessels: -

Hints on storage assembly

• German storage class: 12

• Materials to avoid: Exothermal reaction with isocaynates.

7.3 Specific end use(s): No further recommendations (see chapter 1).

8.2 Limited and controlled exposition parameters

8.2.1 Appropriate engineering controls:

Ensure adequate ventilation. Provide suitable exhaust ventilation at the processing machines.

8.2.2 Personal safety equipment:

• General safety and hygiene measurements:

Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Don't eat and drink while working. Don´t smoke.

Breathing protection: In case of arise from steam/ aerosol use self containing breathing apparatus.
