The test item melted in the temperature range 225 – 235 °C at ca. 1013 hPa under decomposition.
Executive summary:

The melting point of lauroyl L-lysine was investigated in a study conducted according to OECD Guideline 102 (Melting point / Melting Range, 1995), EU Method A.1 (Melting / Freezing Temperature, 2008), and EPA OPPTS 830.7200 (Melting Point / Melting Range). Based on DSC and capillary tube measurements, the melting point of the test item was determined to be in the range between 225 and 235°C at atmospheric pressure. Decomposition of the test item was observed during the melting process.
