Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the test substance passed approximately 100% through an 80 MESH (177 micron) sieve and approximately 99% through a 250 MESH (58 micron) sieve. The Horiba Particle Size Analyzer was consistent in showing the maximum particle size to be less than 177 microns and that 99% of the particle size distribution was less than 58 microns. In 2 different lots, each measured twice, the mass median diameter ranged between 11 and 14 microns.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the granulometry of the test substance according to ISO 13320. Two types of measurements were conducted to determine the particle size distribution of test substance: 1. The HK-8 Ultrasonic Vibratory Laboratory Sieve analysis to evaluate particle size by running the test substance through an 80 MESH and a 250 MESH screen. 1. Laser Scattering Analyzer Method using Horiba Particle Size Analyzer. In 2 different lots, each measured twice, the mass median diameter ranged between 11 and 14 microns (Wylin, 2017).
