Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Executive summary:

The particle size distribution was determined using laser diffraction, according to the ISO 13320. As measuring device, a Malvern Mastersizer 2000 was used. The powder was brought via a powder dispersing cell Scirocco 2000 into the laser light beam and the diffraction pattern is determined. From the diffraction pattern the particle size distribution was calculated. The measurements were run in duplicate.

The average D90 was calculated to be 196.3 µm, the average D50 was calcualted to be 30.6 µm and the average D10 was calculated to be 5.6 µm.

Conclusion

D50: 31 µm
