Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In accordance with REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 Annex VII, column 2 section 7.4 the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is only stable in solution in a particular solvent and the solution density is similar to that of the solvent. In such cases, an indication of whether the solution density is higher or lower than the solvent density is sufficient. For the substance, the main constituents are only stable in the solvent-stabilizer constituent and the solution density is similar to that of the solvent-stabilizer. The applicant indicates that the solution density is marginally higher than that of the solvent-stabilizer [Oxydipropanol: relative density: ca. 1.02 -1.03: according to Browning E. et al., Toxicity and metabolism of industrial solvents, Elsevier Verlag, Netherlands, 653-655; (1965)]. According to ECHA Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment (Chapter R.7a: Endpoint Specific Guidance, R.7.1.4, December 2016) the study does not need to be conducted.

Description of key information

Relative Density: 1.04 - 1.05 at 20 °C, expert judgement, 2017

The solution density is marginally higher than that of the solvent-stabilizer by expert judgement [Oxydipropanol: relative density: ca. 1.02 -1.03: according to Browning E. et al., Toxicity and metabolism of industrial solvents, Elsevier Verlag, Netherlands, 653-655; (1965)]
