Aquatic toxicity

The following values have been obtained through GLP compliant studies conducted in accordance with recent guidelines. The studies were conclusive and the results are valid.

Short-term toxicity to fish: LC50(96h) = 0.96 mg/L, Tobler 2015

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates: EC50(48h) = 2.0 mg/L, Eckenstein 2015

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria: EC50(72h) = 1.7 mg/L, Tobler 2015

Toxicity to activated sludge: EC50(3h) > 1000 mg/L, Eisner 2015

The most conservative value LC50(96h) = 0.96 mg/L (fish) is carried forward for the purpose of risk assessment, classification and labelling.

Acute aquatic toxicity

The lowest available effect level, LC50(96h) = 0.96 mg/L for Oncorhynchus mykiss (fish), triggers classification as Hazardous to the aquatic environment Category Acute 1 according to CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, Table 4.1.0.

Chronic aquatic toxicity
