Details on results:
Analysis of samples take at the end of the test showed that the actual exposure concentrations decreased by more than 20% during the test period. Nominal 0.45 and 1.0 mg/l decreased from 50% at the start of the test to 23 and 26% nominal respectively after 72 hours. The nominal concentration of 0.25 mg/l had decreased to below the detection limit (0.0065 mg/l).
Analysis of the sample taken of the highest concentration without algae showed that the decrease of the test concentrations was not due to the presence of algae.

The nominal/actual values of the concentrations given before are:
EbC50=0.10 / 0.023 mg/l
ErC50 = 0.16 / 0.44 mg/l
NOECb= 0.04 / 0.007 mg/l

A recovery of cell growth was observed during the last 24 hours of exposure, indicated by increased growth rates at the higher test concentrations. This was probably related with the recorded decrease of the actual concentrations during the 72-hour test period.
