Methylcyclohexane is regarded as not readily biodegradable in the aquatic environment. However due to its high volatility the target compartment for environmental distribution will be air. Thus, further soil and sediment simulation testing is not considered relevant as even if released to a sewage treatment plant, immediate losses via evaporation can be expected.
