First-aid measures

General advice : Move out of dangerous area. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.

If inhaled : Move to fresh air in case of accidental inhalation of dust or fumes from overheating or combustion.

If symptoms persist, call a physician.

In case of skin contact : Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash off with soap and plenty of water. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

In case of eye contact : Immediately flush eye(s) with plenty of water. Remove contact lenses. Protect unharmed eye. Keep eye wide open while rinsing. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.

If swallowed : Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Do not give milk or alcoholic beverages.

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Obtain medical attention.

Do NOT induce vomiting.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media : Water mist, Water spray: Alcohol-resistant foam Carbon dioxide (CO2) Dry chemical

Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.

Specific hazards during firefighting: Flash back possible over considerable distance.

Special protective equipment for firefighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Further information : Standard procedure for chemical fires. Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This

must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must

be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Use water spray to cool unopened containers.

Accidental release measures

Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation. Remove all sources of ignition.

Beware of vapours accumulating to form explosive concentrations. Vapours can accumulate in low areas.

Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Prevent product from entering drains.

Contain spillage, and then collect with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite) and place in container for disposal according to local / national regulations

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling : Use product only in closed system.

Handle under inert gas. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Container may be opened only under exhaust ventilation hood. Take precautionary measures against static discharges.

Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.

Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge. Avoid formation of aerosol.
