Description of key information

According to reliable experimental studies (bubble column technique) the Henry’s Law constant was determined for 2.929 Pa m3 mol-1 and 3.070 Pa m3 mol-1 at 25 °C, indicating a moderate volatility from water.
The Henry's law constant for sea water was determined for 3.311 Pa m3 mol-1 at 25 °C.

Additional information

The linear temperature dependency of the Henry's Law constants were determined for fresh and sea water respectively. In both media the Henry's law constants rise with temperature. A slight salting-out effect is to be observed by comparison of the Henry's Law constants in fresh and sea water.

The data are supported by another experimental study from headspace measurement resulting in a Henry’s Law constant of 3.925 Pa m3 mol-1 at 25 °C and further reported values of 3.692 Pa m³/mol at 25 °C and 2.087 Pa m³/mol at 20°C, respectively.
