Description of key information
In view of the ready biodegradability, a waiver was requested for the test on adsorption/desorption. For the calculation of the environmental concentrations, Koc predicted by EUSES is taken.

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, adsorption/desorption screening and further investigations on adsorption/desorption (according to Annex IX) are not necessary as Diacid 1550 is readily biodegradable and therefore degrades rapidly in the environment.
For the calculations, the Koc is estimated using the relation Kow-Koc for organic acids present in EUSES. The predicted Koc is 16600, Log Koc = 4.2. The actual adsorption is influenced by the pH.
