Details on results (HPLC method):
The aim of this study was the determination of the adsorption coefficient of the test item FAT 36014/Z by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method according to EC method C.19 and OECD guideline 121. The analysis was performed on an analytical column packed with a commercially available cyanopropyl solid phase containing lipophilic and polar moieties. A moderately polar stationary phase based on a silica matrix was used (Nucleodur 100-5 CN-RP). A 55/45 (v/v) methanol/ water mixture was used as mobile phase and the column temperature was 25 °C. FAT 36014/Z eluted with a retention time of 13.43 min and therefore after the highest reference item phenanthrene. Hence the reference item DDT was used as highest standard.

Description of key information

A study was performed with a aim for determination of the adsorption coefficient of the test item FAT 36014/Z by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method according to EC method C.19 and OECD guideline 121.The analysis was performed on an analytical column packed with a commercially available cyanopropyl solid phase containing lipophilic and polar moieties. FAT 36014/Z eluted with a retention time of 13.43 min and after the highest reference item. Based on the elution profile the adsorption coefficient (log Koc) was found to be 4.14 at 25 °C temperature.
