The test substance is not readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria).

Two tests on the ready biodegradability of the test substance are available. In an OECD 301B study performed by CIBA-GEIGY Ltd. (1992b) the degradation based on CO2 evolution was 0 and 2% after 28 days (20 and 10.1 mg test substance/L). Additionally, in a supporting study conducted according to OECD 301C by the Institute of Ecotoxicology at the Gakushuin University in Tokyo (1994a) no biodegradation was observed after 28 d.
Hence, the test substance is not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria.
