Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

HPLC method

Details on study design: HPLC method:
Column: LiChrospher 100 CN, part. size 5 μm, 250 mm × 4.6 mm
Mobile phase: 0.1 % phosphoric acid in water and acetonitrile (45:55 v/v); pH 3.7
Detection: 210 nm for reference items and for sodium nitrate, 448 nm for the test item solution
Temperature: 20 °C
Injection volume: 20 μl
Flow: 1.0 ml/min

Batch equilibrium or other method

Computational methods:
The adsorption coefficient (Koc) of the test item was interpolated from the calibraticn curve which was established by correlation of the log Koc values of various reference items with their log k' values. The capacity factor (k') is calculated from the retention time of the reference items, the test item and an unretarded item. Afterwards, a correlation of log k' versus log Kco of the reference items was plotted using linear regression. The log k' value of the test item was then used to calculate its log Koc value.

Based on the chromatographic data, Yellow 6314-PPT was considered to be stable during the test procedure.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
logKoc value is ca. 5.7; this value indicates that the test item is immobile and remains preferably in soil.
