Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

PNEC values were derived according to information provided in the ECHA guidance document on information requirements and chemical safety assessment (Chapter R10). The PNEC value was derived using assessment factors. Short-term results for three trophic levels (fish, invertebrates and algae) are available. Long-term results are only available for algae, however these cannot be used unsupported by other long-term information on other species.

No acute toxicity was observed in fish (Danio rerio) or invertebrates (Daphnia magna) up to concentrations of 500 mg/L test substance (nominal concentrations). The most sensitive species were algae for which an ErC50 (72h) > 256 mg/L (measured concentration) and a NOEC (72h) of 25 mg/L (measured concentrations) could be determined.

As short-term results are available for the three trophic levels and only long-term results for algae are available, an assessment factor of 1000 should be applied on the lowest acute toxicity result.

PNEC aquatic: The algae ErC50 (72h) > 256 mg/L was used as start value for the PNEC calculation using an assessment factor of 1000 (AF) = 256 mg/L / 1000 = 0.26 mg/L
