Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The adsorption/desorption coefficient of RHODIASTAB 55P was estimated at :
- Log Koc = 6.56 for palmitoyl benzoyl methane (mean of two determinations)
- Log Koc = 6.96 for stearoyl benzoyl methane (mean of two determinations)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:

Additional information

The objective of this study was to estimate the adsorption/desorption coefficient of RHODIASTAB 55P using (HPLC) High Performance Liquid Chromatography following the test method (OECD Guideline No. 121, 2001).

No peaks related to the test item could be observed on the chromatographic trace in the interval limited by the reference substances using the method as described in the Guideline but peaks corresponding to palmitoyl benzoyl methane and steraoyl benzoyl methane were observed at a retention time higher than the analytical reference items.

The adsorption/desorption coefficient of RHODIASTAB 55P was higher than 5.6.

[LogKoc: 6.96]
