Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Particle size distribution was determined according to CIPAC MT 187. L10D: 10.9 µm. L50D: 32.7 µm, L90D:78.9 µm

Additional information

For the determination of the particle size distribution a Malvern Mastersizer 2000 with the scirocco 2000 measuring cell was used. The well mixed sample was introduced into a monochromatic Helium. Neon laser beam. The large particles in the sample scattered the laser beam into small angles of scatter and small particles scattered the laser beam into larger angles of scatter. Depending on the individual angels of scatter the scattered laser beam was detected in different areas of the detector. From this light energy measured on different parts of the detector and a mathematical conversion the volume based particle size distribution was calculated. Particle size distribution was determined according to CIPAC MT 187.
