First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Flush with water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give water and get medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use water spray, dry chemical or CO2; wear self-contained
breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent
contact with skin and eyes. Combustion will produce CO2 and
probably carbon monoxide; oxides of nitrogen and sulphur
may also be present. Trace quantities of hydrogen chloride
gas may also be present.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Sweep up material and package for safe feed to an
incinerator. Dispose of in an approved incinerator or
contract with licensed chemical waste-disposal agency.

Handling and storage

Handling: Keep from contact with oxidising materials. Use good
industrial hygiene procedures. Good ventilation should be
sufficient to control airborne dust concentrations.

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not practical to recover

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: A temperature of 1000 deg C is expected to be sufficient to
destroy the chemical; nitrogen and sulphur oxides may be
evolved.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The chemical would probably not be destroyed by water
purification systems.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
