Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Given its proposed uses, all releases of FC-770 are to the atmosphere. FC-770 is of very low water solubility, is volatile, and has a high experimental Henry's Law constant. Based on these qualities, FC-770 is expected to remain the atmospheric compartment. In an OECD 310 (Headspace) assay, evolved CO2 in FC-770 bottles was not statistically different to blanks. FC-770 was not detectably degraded in this assay. The test result demonstrates that FC-770 would not be degraded in open systems. We have proposed adaptation of further biotic degradation test data (soil, sediment, or surface water simulation tests) as not being informative given the lack of detectable biodegradation in the ready biodegradation test, and lack of water solubility, and very high volatility.
