Description of key information

Following the Atkinson calculation, the photochemical half-life for reactions with OH-radicals (12-hr day; 1.5 x 106 OH/cm3) was determined to be 1.7 days.

Teflubenzuron has a very low vapour pressure (1.3x10-8 Pa at 25 °C).


Relatively little loss of teflubenzuron occurred after 24 hours via evaporation from soil (10.2%) or leaves (8.3%) treated with the formulation Nomolt containing 150 g/l of teflubenzuron at a rate of 150 g a.s / ha. Teflubenzuron is not considered volatile according to BBA guidelines. No further testing is necessary.

Long term transport of teflubenzuron is not expected to be of concern.
