Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Short-term toxicity to fish

This study is disregarded due to the use of solubilizer as it cannot be used for assessment and classification and labelling.

LC50 (96h) of the test material with solubilizer was 2.2 mg/L (reference 6.1.1-1), which is clearly above the limit of water solubility.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The EC50 (48h) of the read-across substance to Daphnia magna was determined to be > 100 mg/L (reference 6.1.3-1) according to OECD 202 under GLP conditions.

Toxicity to algae and cyanobacteria

The read-across substance was tested to Desmodesmus subspicatus in an open static test system according to OECD 201 (1984). Under the given conditions of this study (reference 6.1.5-1) the 72-h ErC50 value and the 72-h ErC10 were determined to be > 100 mg/L.

- Biodegradation: screening test: After 28-d test 0 % biodegradation of the test substance occurred in a test according to OECD 301. Therefore, the test substance cannot be considered as readily biodegradable (reference 5.2.1-1).

Bioaccumulation

The test item had BCF of 476 according to OECD TG 305 compliant GLP study. The test material showed no relevant bioaccumulation (BCF < 2000).

Conclusion on classification

The available experimental test data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. The test substance was found to be not readily biodegradable under the test conditions. In all aquatic tests the test item showed no toxic effect on the tested species. The determined EC50 and EC10 for Daphnia magna and green algae were >100 mg/L. Based on these results, the substance is neither classified for short-term (acute) aquatic toxicity nor classified for long-term (chronic) aquatic toxicity according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP), as amended for the twelfth time in Regulation (EU) 2019/521.
