Description of key information

The surface tension is 63.53 mN/m at 20°C and a concentration of 1 g/L. The substance is therefore considered not to be surface active.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
63.53
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
1 000

Additional information

The surface tension of tributyl(ethyl) phosphonium diethylphosphate was determined in a GLP study according to OECD Guideline 115 and EU Method A.5

A surface tension of 63.53 mN/m was determined at 20°C by the harmonized ring method. According to this, the test item is considered not to be surface active.
