Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Conclusion on classification

Classification related key information

Biodegradation in water: under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Bioaccumulation: Bioaccumulation in organisms is negligible, based on the calculated log Pow of -3.93 to -3.36

Acute toxicity:

- to fish: LC50 (96h) = 180 mg/L (nominal)

- to aquatic invertebrates: EC50 (48h) = 17.5 mg/L (nominal)

- to algae: ErC50 (72h) = 1.7 mg/L (nominal)

Chronic toxicity:

- to fish: no data available

- to aquatic invertebrates: EC10 (21d) = 1.9 mg/L (nominal; read across)

- to algae: NOErC (72 h): 0.25 mg/L (nominal)

Classification justification according to CLP

According to the data listed above the substance is not rapidly biodegradable. The acute aquatic toxicity L(E)C50 is >1 mg/L. The chronic NOEC is 0.25 mg/L. Based on the available data the self-classification for the substance would be Aquatic Chronic 2 according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (date: 01.03.2018) and further amendments (ATPs). The substance is listed on Annex VI to CLP (in force from 1 March 2018). The harmonised classification and labelling is Aquatic Acute 1 and Aquatic Chronic 1 according to Annex VI to CLP.
